At the IBC 2026 broadcast convention in Amsterdam, CAMB.AI and NVIDIA unveiled new technologies tailored to live sports broadcasting. The flagship presentation was an autonomous live localization agent built using NVIDIA media infrastructure. The system translates live spoken commentary in real time across more than 150 languages. It preserves speaker tone, emotional inflection, and vocal dynamics while maintaining the minimal latency required for live streaming.
The deployment is already active in professional broadcasting environments. Football platform Ligue 1+ uses the technology for automated Italian live coverage, while NASCAR and Eurovision Sport have also implemented the system. Additionally, the technology served as the centerpiece of the IBC Accelerator project titled AI Agents for Live Sports Production, which included collaboration with ITV, Dalet, and AWS.
In tandem, NVIDIA announced major expansions to its NVIDIA AI for Media suite, targeting sports broadcasting and performance workflows. A core component is the Sports Intelligence Playbooks, consisting of preconfigured workflows and NIM microservices. These allow sports organizations to fine-tune models on domain-specific data, raising action recognition accuracy from 53 percent to 94 percent according to benchmark figures.
NVIDIA also showcased markerless 3D body pose estimation and generative video frame interpolation. By synthesizing intermediate frames from standard broadcast feeds, directors can produce up to 6x super-slow-motion replays on the fly, reducing dependence on specialized high-frame-rate cameras across the venue.
Several technology partners demonstrated complementary tools built on these pipelines. Systems integrator Qvest exhibited V-Cropper, an automated tool that reframes horizontal broadcast video into 9:16 vertical clips for social media. Telestream Vantage presented AI Super Resolution capabilities designed to upscale legacy sports video archives directly to 4K and UHD resolutions.
