Worldwide Express has overhauled its administrative freight operations by deploying generative artificial intelligence. The logistics firm automated its less-than-truckload freight billing-exception process using a multi-agent architecture. Built on Amazon Bedrock, the technical setup was configured to resolve exception workflows that previously required manual oversight.
The deployment yielded significant operational and financial returns within its first half-year of operation. Six months after launch, Worldwide Express cut active billing exceptions by 75 percent. The automated workflow also improved the company's time-to-cash metric by four weeks and unlocked $10 million in free cash flow.
