New York-based PropTech startup Henry AI has secured 16.5 million US dollars in a Series A funding round. The investment was led by venture capital firm FirstMark Capital, with additional participation from Thomson Reuters Ventures and Y Combinator. The funding marks a significant expansion for the company as it moves beyond its core marketing automation tools.
Henry AI built its initial market presence by automating the creation of real estate marketing documents using artificial intelligence. The platform specialized in automatically generating offering memorandums, pitch decks, and investor presentations. These tools allowed commercial real estate firms to accelerate their marketing workflows significantly.
With the fresh capital, Henry AI is rolling out a new platform called Henry Deal. Designed as an AI-powered system of record, Henry Deal aims to structure and analyze the scattered institutional knowledge within real estate companies. This institutional knowledge is often trapped in disparate files, emails, and isolated databases across different departments.
Henry Deal makes this unstructured information usable across the full commercial real estate transaction lifecycle. The platform supports teams from initial asset valuation through document preparation all the way to final transaction closing. By connecting these stages, the software helps real estate professionals make faster, data-driven decisions during complex negotiations.
The investment comes amid a broader push toward artificial intelligence integration across commercial real estate operations. Investors like Thomson Reuters Ventures and FirstMark Capital are backing platforms that move beyond simple document generation toward comprehensive workflow systems. Henry AI plans to use the Series A capital to scale its engineering teams and expand its market reach among institutional real estate clients.
By positioning Henry Deal as a central system of record, Henry AI seeks to address the long-standing problem of fragmented deal data in institutional real estate. Real estate firms frequently lose institutional memory when deals close or team members depart. Henry AI's new platform continuously aggregates deal metrics and context to retain that institutional knowledge for future transactions.
