Fleet-wide computer vision systems require individualized deployment strategies rather than a single fleet-level system. According to AWS, practical implementations require "a model per camera, not one model for the whole fleet." To address these operational constraints, the provider outlined a dedicated reference architecture built using the Amazon SageMaker SDK v3.
The framework outlines an automated lifecycle tailored for widespread edge deployments. Under this design, the system "trains, quality-gates, compiles per-camera models with SageMaker Neo, and versions thousands of them" across the network. To manage operational thresholds, the implementation relies on "an AWS Step Functions layer pacing fleet-scale retraining within account quotas." This coordination layer ensures continuous retraining cycles remain inside established system limits.
