Amazon Web Services has added xAI's Grok 4.6 to its cloud platform. According to AWS, the system is designed as a "frontier model for long-running agents, coding, and knowledge work" to tackle complex automated assignments. It features a "500K token context window" capable of processing large volumes of data within a single prompt. In addition, the model gives developers operational flexibility by incorporating "four reasoning effort levels" tailored to varying computational requirements.
The deployment incorporates multiple architectural features to support existing infrastructure. AWS confirmed that the model "runs on both the bedrock-mantle and bedrock-runtime endpoints" for broad developer access. The service also integrates with "Converse API and cross-Region inference support" to facilitate distributed implementations across different cloud locations. These features enable teams to utilize Grok 4.6 directly within their standardized Bedrock tooling.
